A house with an ambitious budget, for ambitious clients willing to roll up their sleeves undertaking a self-managed build process, sourcing local and recycled building materials, and involving friends and family to achieve their goal: Establishing a home on a section carved from the family farm in Ashley.
A robust and resourceful project with character and a touch of whimsy, Kapua Farm House sits happily on the rolling hills of North Canterbury. Bedrooms are wrapped in recycled brick, the living space is clad in locally sourced macrocarpa and surrounded by a threshold of macro decking, all sitting under a single low-slung zinc roof projecting out towards the view.
