Tucked away in a private rural site near Queenstown, this country house is embraced by a series of curated formal landscape settings. At the end of a long lime-chip driveway, an arrival forecourt introduces guests to the front door, located at the centre of the sheltered courtyard. A glazed gallery links the series of gabled forms, which are defined by a palette of robust natural tones and materials. Living spaces and bedrooms are connected to a range of outdoor areas and overlook the surrounding alpine landscape.
